Furniture Ombudsman backs consumer rights protection scheme

As a code sponsor, TFO will allow its members to become code members and abide by a separate code of practice as part of the scheme. These members will be easily recognised by displaying the TSI-approved code logo. ekonglong leather chair manufacturer

Natalie Williams, outreach executive for TFO, attended the conference in Brighton, and as a prospective code sponsor was invited to meet Jo Swinson MP, Minister for Employment Relations and Consumer Affairs.

Natalie says: “I was delighted to have been invited to represent TFO at the TSI Conference, and thrilled to have been introduced to Jo Swinson MP.

“TFO fully supports use of the TSI-approved code logo as it means that consumers can be assured that they are buying from a company which is committed to providing high levels of customer service. TFO constantly strives to promote good business practice from its members and we are wholly committed to the application process to become a code sponsor.”

In April 2012, the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS) invited the TSI to establish a successor to the OFT CCAS on a self-funding basis from April 2013. The management of the CCAS has now transferred to the Consumer Codes Approval Board (CCAB), operated by TSI.
